Ritchie is a New York-based artist known for his paintings and installations that draw from the vocabularies of science, sociology, anthropology, mythology and the history of art. His artworks have been exhibited locally and internationally including at the Dallas Museum of Art, Solomon R. Aaron Roberts was appointed as associate vice president of Research and Innovation on July 1, He is considered an expert on the fate and effects of chemical contaminants in freshwater and marine ecosystems.
His research group has been funded by federal and state agencies as well as the private sector. Additionally, Roberts will be heavily involved in research development training and limited submissions, among other duties. In this role, he is responsible for managing the technology transfer function within UNT as well as other projects related to intellectual property negotiations, development of new research clusters, and developing entrepreneurial activities on campus.
Additionally, all research contracts are developed, negotiated and executed by his office. Prior to technology transfer, Michael worked in corporate finance and venture capital in New York City. He is responsible for sponsored project administration at the university. He provided leadership and direction during a period of tremendous growth in research at that institution. Research computing services comprise high performance computing HPC resources, big data management, and application of visualization tools for the purposes of conducting research.
The Director of Research Computing Services ensures that the UNT research community has access to the most adequate computational resources needed to conduct impactful research. This position also provides technical support for research management applications such as Cayuse and Huron Research Suite. Additionally, some reporting aspects of the Division of Research and Innovation are supported by this position in an effort to provide better reporting services. She currently directs and supports all relevant research development and proposal activities that encourage increased external funding on sponsored research projects.
She is a connector in bringing researchers together and to funding opportunities that align with their research projects and scope. She assists the Associate VP of Research in the development of new initiatives, programs, and trainings to support faculty. She is the limited submissions administrator and manager, and editor on institutional grant proposals.
In this role, he manages the lifecycle of UNT owned intellectual property. Lists of vendors are available from the Affinity website. All promotional items must include the university's lettermark and wordmark and must be approved in advance by UBSC. This is automatically completed through the purchasing and payments process.
